Description: |
Performs general patient laboratory testing in chemistry, hematology, blood banking and Microbiology. Maintains instrumentation and work area. Performs duties according to the Scope of Service for Lab. Adheres to and practices the St. John's Hospital Corporate Compliance Program and participates in Performance Improvement activities.

Duties: |
Medical Technologist working night shift 18:00 - 06:30. Thursday, Friday, Saturday. Every other Sunday required. Performs maintenance on analyzers. Runs and evaluates QC, generalist working all areas of the laboratory including chemistry, hematology, blood bank, and micro. Must be proficient in all areas to work in a solitary environment as required.

Qualifications: |
Generalist Medical Technologist or equivalent. Special training - minimum of 12 month internship in Accredited Hospital Registration - ASCP or AMT equivalent preferred. Good interpersonal, communication and customer service skills. Minimum of three years experience required for night shift position.
